چکیده

Salinity causes significant agricultural losses in many areas the world. Plant growth promoting bacteria (PGPB) are a promising solution to enhance plant and productivity under such stress conditions by different mechanisms, mainly phosphorous solubilization. This study aims improve wheat seedling salt halotolerant phosphorous-solubilizing bacterial strain. Soil sample was collected south of Algeria (Ghardaia), isolation carried out on nutrient agar (NA) at NaCl concentrations (300; 600 900 mM). The ability isolates solubilize inorganic 0; 300; mM determined. isolate that showed highest solubilization indexes selected identified as Pseudomonas azotoformans. Sterile (Triticum aestivum) seeds were inoculated this strain then sown soil (0; 100; 200; 300 Different parameters measured after 15 days. its capacity for (255.152 ± 0.01 µg/mL) NaCl, phytate mineralization (0.168 0.002 U/mL) 100 NaCl. amount soluble 49.42 0.36 ppm obtained Seed germination percentage, shoot root length fresh dry weights found be higher seedlings compared uninoculated ones. Alleviation of salt stress by halotolerant and halophilic plant growth-promoting bacteria in wheat (Triticum aestivum)

In the current study, 18 halotolerant and halophilic bacteria have been investigated for their plant growth promoting abilities in vitro and in a hydroponic culture. The bacterial strains have been investigated for ammonia, indole-3-acetic acid and 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylate-deaminase production, phosphate solubilisation and nitrogen fixation activities. Of the tested bacteria, eight wer...

Comparative study of wild and transformed salt tolerant bacterial strains on Triticum aestivum growth under salt stress

Eleven salt tolerant bacteria isolated from different sources (soil, plants) and their transformed strains were used to study their influence on Triticum aestivum var. Inqlab-91 growth under salt (100 mM NaCl) stress. Salt stress caused reduction in germination (19.4%), seedling growth (46%) and fresh weight (39%) in non-inoculated plants. In general, both wild and transformed strains stimulate...

Intervarietal Differences in Nitrogen Content and Nitrate Assimilation in Wheat (triticum Aestivum L.) under Salt Stress

Effect of five NaCl salinity treatments (0, 50, 100, 200 and 300 mM) given at different growth and developmental stages on total N level and in vitro nitrate reductase activity (NRA) in leaves and roots of two wheat cultivars viz., Ghods and Boolani was studied in greenhouse conditions. In response to salinity treatments, total N concentrations and NO3 assimilation rates in Ghods, a saltsensiti...

Pseudomonas lutea sp. nov., a novel phosphate-solubilizing bacterium isolated from the rhizosphere of grasses.

A phosphate-solubilizing bacterial strain designated OK2(T) was isolated from rhizospheric soil of grasses growing spontaneously in a soil from Spain. Cells of the strain were Gram-negative, strictly aerobic, rod-shaped and motile. Phylogenetic analysis of the 16S rRNA gene indicated that this bacterium belongs to the gamma-subclass of Proteobacteria within the genus Pseudomonas and that the cl...
